Welcome to Broken Earth!

Here is some basic information that might help you prepare to create your characters.

Starting Communities

These are three communities in the world of Broken Earth that characters might come from. Coming from these communities is likely to have additional story implications, but you are not required to come from one of these groups.

Axe Tribe: A group of gatherers who live in the woods of what was once northern Minnesota.
Iron Shelter: The descendents of those who fled to a converted iron mine just before the last war. They have lived their entire lives below ground.
Wright Family Trading Company: A powerful trading company that controls all the salvage from the ruins of Duluth, and all trading in northern MN.

Races

There are two new races available.
Freak: A mutant strain of humanity that are highly resistant to radiation.
Simian: Apes who have developed human-like intelligence.

Classes

The following classes are available, though they have at least some modifications.

Gunslinger
Psion
Psychic Warrior
Soulknife
Vitalist

Spelless Ranger (I have a paper copy)

Mutations

You can take mutations based on the d20 Future Mutations

You can gain one mutation point as a trait, and gain two more as a feat, otherwise you may gain mutation points by taking drawbacks.
